The Best French Toast Recipe
So funny thing is I never really liked french toast. I always wanted to like it, but I never did. We even used to put powdered sugar on the french toast when I was growing up and I still didn’t like it. I mean weird right?
Well, a few years ago I was trying out a diet and I was determined to test every recipe. Even the ones I knew, or thought I knew, I wouldn’t like. One of those recipes was in fact french toast. Ya, I wasn’t excited, but I told myself I was going to try it and I am so glad I did.
To my surprise I loved it! It has now become a staple recipe and one of my go to Saturday breakfasts. I have modified the recipe quite a bit, and that is the one I am sharing today. If you want the original recipe you can find it in the Extreme Transformation Book. This is the book I was using for the diet I mentioned above.
The Best French Toast Recipe
Serves 2 Adults.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup cottage cheese
4 slices of your favorite wheat bread
Splash of milk
1/4 tablespoon of butter
3 whole eggs
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Pre-heat cast iron pan
crack 3 eggs in a bowl
add cinnamon on top of eggs
add a splash of cinnamon to the eggs
whisk eggs, milk, and cinnamon together
Melt butter in pan
Dip bread into egg mixture. Make sure to get both sides one slice at a time
Add slices of bread to cast iron pan and cook until golden brown.
Flip and cook until golden brown on second side
Place 2 slices of the toast on each plate
Top with 1/4 cup cottage cheese each
Top with berries of choice
Top with Agave Syrup
Serve and enjoy!!!
