Protein Strawberry Popsicles Recipe
Protein Strawberry Popsicles Recipe
I have been seriously obsessed with popsicles lately and it isn’t even warm weather yet. Maybe that is me just longing for summer time, or maybe I am just preparing for summer? Or maybe it is something else ;)
Non the less, I have been getting some store bought all fruit popsicles, and eating way too many of them. I started to look at the ingredients and of course these so called healthy popsicles aren’t really that healthy. Who woulda thought right?
So, naturally, I felt like I could make my own and make them actually healthy popsicles. Plus, I have been wanting to eat more protein so I figured I could try to add some protein powder into the Popsicle for a little extra umph.
Now, I made these popsicles and I absolutely love them. They are like a smoothie in Popsicle form. Pretty neat, but I do have to warn you that the protein powder is noticeable just like it is in a smoothie. There is a bit of texture that the protein powder adds to the popsicle. In order to avoid this, you can just remove the protein powder and only use the remaining ingredients. You can also replace the protein powder with vanilla yogurt of your choice.
Here are some things you will need to make your own popsicles:
