How to make the perfect fruit smoothie - protein smoothie recipe
SMOOTHIES, SMOOTHIES, SMOOTHIES!
This summer is going to be all about smoothies for me :) Why you are asking? Well, I will tell you why.
They are incredibly healthy for you (probably the healthiest meal that I eat all day)
They are light and cool which is perfect for the summer heat
They will help me reach my protein goals for the day
They are easy to make
They will help me with my postpartum recovery journey
You can disguise veggies in them to help you eat more veggies on a daily basis
Man, the list just goes on and on! I could keep going, but hopefully I convinced you to have smoothies in your life this summer!
Sometimes it is hard to be creative and come up with a smoothie idea; therefore, I share all of my smoothie recipes on here so before we get into the recipe make sure to check out all the other smoothie recipes here.

Here are some things you will need to make your own Smoothies:
How to make the perfect fruit smoothie - protein smoothie recipe
Ingredients:
8 ounces apple juice, orange juice, or vanilla almond milk (it depends on how sweet you want your smoothie)
1 cup frozen fruit of choice
1/2 frozen banana
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
Optional: 1 cup spinach - This will make your smoothie turn brown
Note 1 : if you want your smoothie to be extra thick or have just more bulk to it to fill you up add 1 cup of ice
Note 2: You can also add 1/4 cup of oats
Note 3: You can also add 1/2 cup cauliflower for more veggies
Note 4: Once you begin adding bulk to your smoothie, you may need to add another 2 ounces of fluid. Try blending first and then go from there
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender
Blend until smooth
Poor into your favorite glass
Top with some of the ingredients to make it pretty
Ideas: coconut shreds, fresh fruit, chocolate chips, diced dates, whipped cream, nut butter drizzle, etc.
