Mild Chunky Salsa Recipe
OHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! We are starting to get all the tomatoes in our garden and that means SALSA!
Ok, so I absolutely love love love fresh chunky salsa. To be honest, I am not a big salsa fan, but I am a huge fan of chunky salsa. It is just so fresh and delicious.
Last year I started making my own salsa and I seriously can’t ever go back. We had the best problem and were overloaded with tomatoes. It was a little funny because I planted 7 tomato plants and only 1 of them produced tomatoes. I wouldn’t know what to do if all 7 plants actually produced tomatoes lol.
Now , don’t get me wrong, you don’t have to grow your own tomatoes to make your own salsa. You can buy all of this at the market to make homemade salsa as well.
So lets talk about the things you are going to need in order to make this delicious mild chunky homemade salsa:
A good Mixing Bowl:
A sharp knife
Mixing spoons
Delicious tortilla chips
Now that we have all the essentials to make our salsa lets dive into the recipe.
Mild Chunky Salsa Recipe
Ingredients:
8 medium tomatoes
1/2 sweet onion
1/2 cup cilantro
1 jalapeño
2 limes
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/4 tsp Garlic
Directions:
Wash all produce
Chop all vegetables (not limes) into small chunks (remember this is chunky salsa so you want to keep it a bit chunky.
Add all chopped vegetables into a large bowl
Squeeze lime juice into bowl
Add salt pepper and garlic
Mix well
Taste test and decide if more salt, pepper, or garlic is needed.
