Ramping up my photography game!

This year just feels right. Everything feels like it is falling into place and I couldn't be more excited! As you all know I have a photography business as well as this fun adventure blog. I am excited for where both are going this year. I have so many thing scheduled, so much planned, and it feels so good!

Well, with both this blog and my photography, it requires lots of photo goodness. Now, I try not to buy the new latest and greatest thing whenever it comes out, but it is hard. There are so many cool new tech things, so many cool new lenses, so much cool new gear that floods our lives. It makes it quite hard to say no I don't need that; however, when the Sony A7riii came out I knew I needed it.

I shoot on the Sony A7rii right now and it has been an amazing camera for me. I love it! Like alot, but when Sony announced the Sony A7riii I knew that at some point I was going to get it. Well, that point came last Saturday and I couldn't be more thrilled! Sony was having a 'Sony Trade In Event' at my local camera shop, so I had to take advantage of it.

While I was there, I ended up passing the used gear section and saw a lens that I have been wanting as well for my adventures and backpacking trips. This is the Batis 18mm f2.8 .

Why would I want this lens you ask? Well, you see I try to backpack as light weight as possible. Typically I am around 35-40 pounds. This lens is a whole pound lighter than the lens I have, plus it has a wider aperture, so its a win win win win win! Since it was in the used gear cabinet is was much cheaper than new, so I ended up jumping all over that and bought the lens as well :) Yay!

I am super excited about this new step forward. I will be testing out the Sony A7riii and providing a review on my photography website if you are interested. So, stay tuned for my next post about my adventure trying out my new gear!

Wishing you nothing but amazing adventures,
