Cinnamon Vanilla Protein Breakfast Bites - No Bake
I love the morning, but man do I have a hard time getting myself out of bed to go to work! This ultimately means running out the door with my big ole cup of coffee and an empty belly just to make sure I am not late.
Since this is the case, I have been on a mission to find some yummy, healthy, and easy to take on the go kind of breakfast recipes. This one is more than a winner in my book. It has just the right amount of cinnamon and sweetness to make for the perfect breakfast on the go. All you have to do is grab a couple from the fridge and head out. It is that easy!
These also make for an amazing snack as well as a great backpacking recipe. They are small and light weight (only 1 ounce each!).
Ok, ok, enough talking. Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
10 Dates
1/4 cup Vanilla protein powder (you can use whey protein or non flavored protein)
1/2 Heaping TBSP of ground cinnamon
2 TBSP maple syrup (can substitute with honey)
1/4 cup almond flower
2 TBSP creamy almond butter
1/4 + 1 TBSP quick oats
1/2 TBSP Vanilla Extract
1 TBSP water
Directions:
Add all ingredients to food processor
Blend until smooth
Roll into balls
makes 8 1.2 ounce balls.
