My Fitness Challenge For This Fall - MM100 Workout Challenge
I honestly don't really know where to start so I'm going to start from the beginning on this one. I started my health and fitness journey back in February. The whole point of this journey for me was really to find myself. Somewhere along the way I seem to have lost really dot-dot. Well... Just myself. 2018 was a terrible year for me. I was so negative and all I could do was saying negative things to myself that in 2019 I realized that I needed some change. If you want to read more about 2018 make sure to check out this post.
The other thing that was super not awesome, was when I went backpacking last year I sure didn’t feel fit. I felt like the mountain was kicking my ass. I always say #themountaindontcare and it seriously doesn’t. If you don’t put in the work to get fit, or be in decent shape, your backpacking and hiking experiences are going to freaking suck. This was just another motivator for me to make a change.
So in February of 2019, this year, I decided that I really needed to make a huge change. What Ivan did was signed up for a fitness group in a fitness challenge. This was called the T20 workout program. It was a six-week Challenge and it was awesome! So after that 6 weeks I decided to do it again. Then I completed the challenge again and decided it would be a good idea to try something different. So from there I did a program called the 21 Day Fix program. This is where I really started to hone in on my nutrition and try to eat more intentionally. After I finish the 21 Day Fix program I moved on to a weightlifting program. I thought that my body would respond a little bit better to a weight lifting program because honestly I've never done one before and I've always heard that you should lift weights. This program was not for me. I could not stay consistent with it at all.
While I was doing the weight lifting program another program was launching called the mm100, or the morning meltdown 100. This program looked freaking badass but it intimidated me quite a bit. I was worried about committing to 100 workouts. That number just seemed so daunting.
Well my fitness group all decided that they wanted to jump on the morning meltdown 100 workout program as well so what we decided to do is all work out together beginning this fall. So starting in August I jumped on the morning meltdown 100 workout routine program. I decided to go all-in.
This program consists of 100 workouts and it is broken up into five different phases. There are 10 different types of workouts and each workout is different so you won’t ever get bored. The program is also a mixture of weights, cardio, and stretching which I am super excited about. I didn’t like the weights only program, but I know that they are going to help me reach my goals so I am stoked that this program is a mixture of both! Yay! I can have my cake and eat it too!
I am nervous as heck to start this workout program because the commitment to 100 workouts seems so daunting. I feel like I'm setting myself up for failure however, I know that I can freaking do this. I am so happy that I have an accountability group and a team that I check in with everyday. If I didn't have this I think it would make signing up for this challenge so much harder. This team and these people are counting on me to show up for them. If you ever struggle with staying consistent in a workout program or your health and fitness journey, find yourself an accountability team. If you don't have one and you're looking for on make sure to send me a message or go out and fill out this form here so we can work out together! I would so love to include you in my accountability group because let me tell you the accountability group has honestly changed everything for me.
I am hoping that this program is really going to help me with my health goals, my fitness goals, and to kick the mountains ass this year for backpacking.
So here goes nothing. 100 workouts for this Falls fitness challenge!
